Tamil student abducted, in Kalmunai

Unidentified armed men arriving in a white van Wednesday around 10:00 p.m at the house of a sixteen-year-old student in Kalmunai police division in Ampaa’rai district, abducted him, according to the complaint made by his mother to Kalmunai police.

The abducted student is Baskaran Thusanthan alias Tharshan, a resident of Koayil Veethi, Kalmunai 3.

Thusanthan was a GCE Ordinary level student at Kalmunai Fatima College and has been staying home for the last six months.

His mother has filed a complaint with Kalmunai Human Rights Commission too.

Kalmunai police are investigating into the abduction.
