Rajini changes Kuselan’s characters

Rajini’s fans are in for a double treat with the actor starring in two films. While Robot is a big project, Kuselan is, relatively speaking, a smaller project. A remake of the super hit Malayalam film, Katha Parayum Pol, Kuselan is about the friendship between a film star and a barber.

But sources say that Rajini wanted to change the characters in the film as it may hurt the sentiments of certain sections of the society. To settle the matter amicably, he insisted on changing the roles to that of a driver and conductor. While Pasupathy will play the driver, Rajini will star as the conductor. Incidentally, he was a real-life conductor before venturing into films. This is going to add to the film’s thrill – almost as though he were reliving his past on screen.

Readers may be aware that Rajini, a few days ago, said that Kuselan is fifty per cent Pasupathy, twenty five per cent Vadivelu and twenty five per cent Rajini. But with the slight change in the story, we need to wait and see how all the parts shape up.
