Governor inaugurates Prashanth Gold Tower

The opening ceremony of Prashanth Real Gold Tower in T. Nagar, Chennai, was a star studded affair yesterday. Prashanth Real Gold Tower is all set to become Chennai’s premier destination for jewellery. Apart from housing the world’s largest jewellery showroom from Joy Alukkas, the tower also houses the best brands in jewellery in its premises.

His Excellency Surjit Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamilnadu, inaugurated the tower amidst cheers from the swelling crowd. Promoted jointly by actor Thiagarajan, his son Prashanth and property developer Real Value Promoters, the building promises to provide jewellers with a shopping experience unmatched anywhere in India. The plush interiors are sure to make customers feel that they are shopping abroad.

Spread across 10 floors and 3 mezzanine levels, the tower also houses bullion trading desks of various banks, a spacious exhibition hall, ATMs of premier banks, exclusive trading lounges along with a food court.

The guest list was an eclectic mix of politicians, cine stars, the city’s top jewellers and socialites. Apart from the Governor, others who attended the inauguration included actors Sathyaraj, Sibiraj, Pandiarajan, Vivek, Prithviraj, Murali, Arjun, Rajesh, Raja, Arun Vijay, Vijaykumar, actresses Khusbu, Rambha, Sangavi, Meena, Kasturi, Charanya Bhagyaraj, Keerthi Chawla, Aparna, Lakshmi, Bhanupriya, Vindhya, Meghna Naidu, Rinkie Khanna, Preethi Jhangiani, Beenamol,  producers ‘Kalaipuli’ Dhanu, ‘Oscar Films’ Bhaskar, Murali Manohar, Ayngaran Karunamoorthy, Sathyajothi Films Thiagarajan, Amudha Durairaj, Metro Films Jayakumar, ‘Pokkiri’ Ramesh, ‘Sundari Films’ Murugan, Editor Mohan, Anand Theatre Karunas, directors K.S. The place witnessed an uncontrollable crowd right from the morning. Sources say that Rs. 7 crores sales were completed out by 10 p.m. on the first day.
