Simran who had us all charmed and was quite the Queen of Kollywood until a few years ago, has been trying to reclaim her position for the past one year. Heroine roles have been eluding the actress, but a bunch of good supporting roles seem to be coming her way these days. Simran who once was stated that she would only do the lady lead in any movie, seems to have had a change of heart lately.

She is now a part of the cast in Gaautam Menon's Vaaranamaayiram, where she plays the wife of the older Suriya. Recent rumors say that she has also consented to play a supporting role in Hari's upcoming movie Seval that has Bharath in the lead. Apparently the role and the pay chreck just swept her off her feet! For the sake of her thousands of fans, lets hope she does not end up doing anything as diluted as the role Sangeetha played in Kaalai.
